The project

The big front living room window on this brick ranch in Palatine was an old 5-panel unit with peeling, worn exterior trim. We replaced it with a new 5-lite casement unit — almond outside and oak woodgrain inside — and wrapped the frame in new aluminum trim capping. The close-up photos show the difference: cracked paint and old caulk before, clean sealed metal after. The almond color and woodgrain interior cost a bit more than standard white, which is reflected in the price.
